SK Hynix To Increase QLC 3d Nand Production
SK Hynix, a key player in the memory technology industry, is set to increase the production of QLC 3D NAND memory by 10% at the beginning of next year. This significant increase will supply corporate SSDs used in artificial intelligence systems, further solidifying SK Hynix's role in shaping the future of memory technology. The sister company Solidigm, which was formed based on a Chinese 3D NAND plant in Dalian acquired from Intel, will also play a part in this advancement, increasing the production of such memory by 5% at the beginning of next year. The recent 80% spike in prices for enterprise SSDs has significantly influenced the strategies of memory manufacturers. QLC memory, with its ability to store 4 bits of information in a single cell, is now a preferred choice for high-capacity enterprise SSDs, thanks to its energy efficiency. This shift in preference has led to an increased focus on the production of these products. Next year, SK Hynix plans to channel up to half of its NAND sales revenue into the corporate sector.

Corsair Reduces Staff Due To Declining Sales
Corsair announced a significant staff reduction due to declining revenue and millions in losses. CEO Andy Paul sent a letter to employees describing forced "organizational changes," including job cuts. However, the company remains committed to its employees and their well-being. According to a financial report for the second quarter, Corsair suffered a loss of $29.6 million USD, attributed to decreased sales in the gaming components market. Consumer demand for memory modules, SSDs, and other PC components has declined significantly. The sales of Corsair components dropped mainly due to manufacturers' need for new processors and graphics cards. Typically, memory and other PC components sales increase after new hardware releases as users update their systems. However, new products have yet to appear over the past few quarters. Paul also mentioned PC games as potential catalysts for component and peripheral sales in the coming quarters. The executive sympathized with Corsair employees affected by the layoffs, hoping they could find stable new jobs soon.

444 Gaming Devices Connected To Single TV
Ibrahim Al-Nasser from Saudi Arabia has achieved a monumental world record. He connected an astounding 444 devices to a single TV, a collection that includes consoles, computers, HDMI sticks, and other gadgets. His meticulous organization, using multiple HDMI switches, audio switches, and an Excel spreadsheet, is a testament to his dedication. The collection spans from the first commercial console, the Magnavox Odyssey from 1972, to the PlayStation 5 Slim. In a video, Ibrahim showcases the well-furnished setup, which resembles a museum. All the machines are fully functional; the highlight is the invisibly placed cables. Connecting 444 machines is a feat that most of us can only dream of. While we struggle with cable organization when building a PC, Ibrahim's achievement is on a whole other level. It's no surprise that he has earned a spot in the Guinness World Records.
